Bug 176665 – net-im/pidgin-2.0.0_beta7 crashes when is run using gdb

I have compiled it with the following:
CFLAGS="-O0 -pipe -ggdb" CXXFLAGS="-O0 -pipe -ggdb" emerge -av pidgin


net-im/pidgin-2.0.0_beta7  USE="crypt dbus debug gstreamer gtk mono msn nls perl spell ssl startup-notification tk xscreensaver -avahi -bonjour -cjk -console -custom-cflags -doc -eds -gadu -gnutls -groupwise -meanwhile -qq -sasl -silc -tcl" 


(it has been really compiled with -O2 because -O0 is filtered if I don't use custom-flags USE)

If I run:
pidgin

It works, but, if I run:
gdb /usr/bin/pidgin

It crashes,

the problem is the mono plugin, try disabling it. I've disabled mono completely from the ebuild, its too broken
