what happens if you do: opengl-update xfree and then emerge xforms? It emerges to completion with no errors. What does opengl-update do? :-) what kind of video card do you have? This machine has an ATI Radeon 8500. well, the GL headers on a gentoo box are not in a standard place, because of the fact that nvidia provides its own gl headers. So, our opengl-update utility creates symlinks in the expected location to the real location. Seems like your symlinks were dead, that's all. Thanx for the quick response and the info.
