Bug 175774 – app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-10.2 needs update for expat-2

Ok, i've done a search on the faulty so and gave me the packages app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-10.2 
The package contains an old libexpat.so.0 and should be upgraded for libexpat.so.1 in arch ~ARCH 

The specified librairy is expat-2.0.0.

An ugly workaround would be linking in the lib32 the file libexpat.so.0 to libexpat.so.1 but we can expect some sever breakage.

With expat-2.0.1 being stabilized for Bug 187730, this really needs to be fixed.

On my system, the following binary emulations packages also need rebuilt:
(these are the latest stable versions)
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs-10.0
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-qtlibs-10.0
app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-10.0-r1

Which 32bit package requires expat-2 ?

Which 32-bit binary package?  None of them.

As it stands right now, all of our 32-bit libraries are in sync.  If we were to update expat here, we would have to rebuild all of the others, as mentioned in comment #2, which is completely unnecessary.  There's no need to upgraded expat until there's a security vulnerability that requires it or binary packages requiring it.  I just don't see the advantage of recompiling all of these packages with little to no gain.
