Description juantxorena@gmail.com 2007-04-15 09:37:52 UTC
My usb keybaord stops working after I push a lock key (shift, num or scroll). Is a Genius Slimstar Pro. I think is kernel related, because of the thread in the kernel mailing list I've found (the given url). According that, it seems that there are some problems in UHCI drivers. However, the proposed fix doesn't work for me, because I use EHCI and OHCI drivers.

This problem happens with various kernels: gentoo-sources-2.6.19-r5, gentoo-sources-2.6.20-5, vanilla-sources-2.6.16.19, vanilla-sources-2.6.20.7, mm-sources-2.6.21_rc6-r1. The last ones have the patch provided in the link.

The problem happens with and without X.

Reproducible: Always

Are there any known working kernels?
Are you able to try other USB keyboard on the same system?
