server # /etc/init.d/intersync stop 
 * Stopping intersync... 
 * Failed to stop intersync                                               [ !! ] 
 
It seems you have to killall intersync instead.

hmm, can u check to see if u have a /var/run/intersync.pid and that it matches the running pid?
