There is no ebuild for this extension of Thunderbird. i think it will be appreciated by a lot of users if some one builds it. (especially for amd64, because there is no binary version for this platform).

No, we are not adding any FF extensions except for security reasons.

Jakub on amd64 we can't use because mozilla do not provide 64bit build

can we reopen this bug please?

There's an ebuild for enigmail.  While this is a "security related" extension, it certainly isn't needed for TB to be "secure."

Some extensions may be compiled from source & will then work on "unofficial" platforms.  Enigmail is one such extension.  lightning seems to be another (as I have compiled it manually).

someone got it compiled.

Mozilla do not provide amd64 builds. 
this is not an extension only this is an huge piece of software, ebuild is needed.
we're like enigmail.

Please at least forward this to mozilla/thunderbird team.
