yes, you are rightm the new version 1.6.0 does not require creating the configuration file, however, currently syslog-ng 1.4.16 is stable on gentoo. so, the statement is still vaild.. we might include more information, but this is not critical.. i recommend that we leave it as it is, for the time being.. and if 1.6.0 gets stable, we can modify the statement.. any comment? cheers.. ajs The 1.6.0 is in stable: from the 1.6.0-ebuild: """ KEYWORDS="x86 ~ppc ~sparc alpha" """ Removed warning since syslog-ng as of 1.6.0 has a default conf. |
