Bug 172990

Summary: gcc-3.x failed patch w/ USE=vanilla
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Nelson <nelson.batalha>
Component: [OLD] Core systemAssignee: Gentoo Linux bug wranglers <bug-wranglers>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: major
Priority: High
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Nelson 2007-04-01 10:14:33 UTC
When emerging (downgrading) several gcc3.4 versions (like 3.4.5) it stops with the following error:

Failed patch: 03_all_gcc-3.4.0-v8.7.6.1-pie-arm.patch

I can't include the .out contents since that computer is not connected, doesn't have cdr and so on, it would be very hard. But I can test procedures if necessary.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install stage 3 untill the kernel part on a pentium2.
2.Change to 2.4 profile
3.emerge any gcc 3.4.*

Remove vanilla from your use flags.
