Never been there in the first place; xfce4-menueditor is installed by xfce-base/xfdesktop; please don't mess with package.masked stuff unless you know what you are doing. Whats never been where? Menu Editor has never been in Settings? Wrong, I have 8 machines which run xfce4, and all have Settings > Menu Editor. I simply filed this bug report because there is no menu-editor. I did copy the wrong ebuild, Yes it is - xfce-base/xfdesktop-4.5_pre20070325-r1, and not libxfce4menu-4.5_pre20070325-r1. We're both right. http://www.uberpenguin.net/~deface/images/bugs/xfcemenu.png and http://www.uberpenguin.net/~deface/images/bugs/xfcemenu2.png And in end of installation you got.. elog elog "Be noted that menu-editor has been disable because it's not" elog "supported in new menu system." elog which you failed to read. Don't use p.masked ebuilds without caution, thanks. Still does not explain the broken button. |
