Complaints about proprietary drivers go upstream, we can't fix them. If you pastebin /var/log/Xorg.0.log and dmesg I'll have a look for anything obviously suspicious, but you'll probably have to pass this on to ati, there's not a lot we can do about this kind of problem. thanks, maybe theres something wrong with my config? only skimmed it, but only see two oddities: you're using a non-highmem kernel with >= 1 G of ram (almost certainly unrelated, but consider fixing it to actually use all your ram :) and there is no reference to agpgart in dmesg. Do you have the right agp-related options enabled in your kernel config (support for your motherboard chipset under agp in device drivers -> character devices)? Thank you, i didn't realize it :>. I changed it, but it doesn't make any difference :/ I found a solution. It can be fixed by adding these lines in the device section of the xorg.conf Option "Capabilities" "0x00000800" Option "KernelModuleParm" "locked-userpages=0" |
