There's already been a use flag and it was removed because it sucked. If flash sound is broken for you, then you'll need to complain to Adobe, not to Gentoo. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 146108 *** But why force apps to run through OSS emulation if they don't need to? Flash 7 I can understand because it couldn't use alsa, Flash 9 can use alsa so the oss emulation is not required. Its nothing to do with Adobe particularly, just that I prefer firefox running proplery with Alsa, rather than using OSS emulation, and the only way I can achieve that is to edit the mozilla-launcher script to remove aoss. |
