I have two Linux boxes, GCC, binutils are identical (quickpkg on one and emerge -K on other). Emerge packets and compile my projects work fine, but when I try compile kernel:

Indeed, compiling the kernel (or kernel modules) with distcc doesn't work with the hardened compiler.  Disable distcc when building the kernel or kernel modules.
