The following output as shown below is seen when emerging with MAKEOPTS="-j3" but it emerges normally and completes without error when MAKEOPTS is taken out from /etc/make.conf

Since the output is too long will attach a log to this bug request once created.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Edit /etc/make.conf add MAKEOPTS="-j3"
2. emerge dialog
3.Error




If you remove the MAKEOPTS line then it works.
