just for giggles I used the Boot disk kernel to emerge the pcmcia-cs to my system. Seems to have worked despite comments on here that it might not. I saw that it delivered the /etc/init.d/pcmcia that I was expecting along with the conf.d files. I rebooted and it seems to work... on to emerging KDE. |
