by the way you could add the x1000 series and tell that: -there is no 2d mode for the free software drivers =>use vesa -the 2d and 3d mode can only be achieved with the proprietary drivers Donnie, any comments on the veracity of this information? Yes, the r300 3D driver works reasonably well at this point for anything older than that. Not sure on the nptl bit. at least you could add the nptl bit in a troubleshouting section...
