Description Tommy McDaniel 2007-03-09 09:33:17 UTC
I tried installing gnash-0.7.2 last night, and was getting strange failures. They seemed to indicate that gstreamer couldn't be found, so, after confirming that I didn't have gstreamer installed, I installed it. Gnash installed fine after that, which is why I can't post the text of the error. I have the gstreamer USE flag set. I was about to post this last night, but Gnash sucks so bad that it quickly made my computer freeze harder than the Siberian tundra, so I turned it off and went to sleep instead (I still haven't seen a single piece of Flash work).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure gstreamer isn't installed.
2. Try to install gnash-0.7.2, probably with the gstreamer USE flag.
3. Watch the attempt explode.

Actual Results:
Emerge failure.

Expected Results:
Gnash should have installed gstreamer and then installed itself successfully.

It sure does pull in gstreamer w/ USE=gstreamer
Comment 2 Tommy McDaniel 2007-03-10 02:12:08 UTC
You are correct. I must have imagined it not finding gstreamer, me finding that gstreamer wasn't installed, and installing it myself.
