I meant to say that drip wants to downgrade to version 7.15. this is absoluteley invalid *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 16353 *** Doesn't look like a dupe to me, and besides, it's still broken ;) no it's not |
With transcode 6.3 installed it depends on: hotrod root # emerge -ep transcode |grep -i avifile [ebuild N ] media-video/avifile-0.7.32.20030219 If drip 8.2_pre1 is installed, it wants to install two different avifile versions that have the same slot. hotrod root # emerge -ep drip |grep -i avifile [ebuild N ] media-video/avifile-0.7.15.20020816-r1 [ebuild N ] media-video/avifile-0.7.32.20030219 This has a side effect of transcode emerging avifile 7.32 when doing an emerge -u --deep. the next time the --deep world option is used drip wants to downgrade to version 7.32... and the cycle never ends. I think the problem lies in the following in the drip ebuild. RDEPEND="gnome-base/gnome-libs <media-video/avifile-0.7.22 >=media-video/avifile-0.7.4.20020426-r2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
