Description Pietro Montorfano 2007-03-07 10:24:56 UTC
The wine cvs ebuid (app-emulation/wind/wine-9999) is not installed by default when unmasking wine with the ** keyword because there are other versions which version numbers are > than the CVS version.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.unmask app-emulation/wine in /etc/portage/package.keywords with **
2.emerge -p wine

Actual Results:
monto@h7-25 ~ $ emerge -p wine

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild U ] app-emulation/wine-20050930 [0.9.29] USE="gif%* truetype%* -debug% -glut%"
monto@h7-25 ~ $

Expected Results:
monto@h7-25 ~ $ emerge -p wine

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild U ] app-emulation/wine-9999 [0.9.29] USE="gif%* -debug% -glut%"
monto@h7-25 ~ $

the possible solution is to correct the other ebuilds version (don't know how) or simple make wine cvs version 99999999 instead of 9999

Simple solution is "emerge =app-emulation/wine-9999"
