there was no problem with 2.8 rendering utf-8 Chinese characters in graphviz 2.8-r2, but with 2.12 it display each byte by byte in western chars

when i strace it, 2.8-r2 reads ttf file while 2.12 does not read any font file, not even open it. i used -G -N -E all with fontname=SimSun
