He. :) Anyway, this is reproducible, ie. Always the same error, or different every time? Have you have other emerges fail on you? Yes it is reproducible, i can send at least 6 other logs, I haven't tried more times because it doesn't make sense. And yes there are other emerges that fail, like openoffice, wxGTK, boinc and some other that at this time can't remember. I opened a bug report for tge wxGTK and asked if this is the right procedure, the person did not answer my question, but seems to be working on the bug, so I assumed that this is the right procedure, so I will sen more bug reports. > Relevant snippet from your log: > x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -o nsUnknownDecoder.o -c -fvisibility=hidden > -DMOZILLA_INTERNAL_API -DOSTYPE=\"Linux2.6\" -DOSARCH=\"Linux\" > -DBUILD_ID=0000000000 -DIMPL_NS_NET -I../../../netwerk/base/src > -I../../../dist/include/xpcom -I../../../dist/include/string > -I../../../dist/include/mimetype -I../../../dist/include/locale > -I../../../dist/include/intl -I../../../dist/include/unicharutil > -I../../../dist/include/util -I../../../dist/include/pref > -I../../../dist/include/uconv -I../../../dist/include/necko2 > -I../../../dist/include/necko -I../../../dist/include -I/usr/include/nspr > -I../../../dist/sdk/include -fPIC > -DGENTOO_NSPLUGINS_DIR=\"/usr/lib64/nsplugins\" > -DGENTOO_NSBROWSER_PLUGINS_DIR=\"/usr/lib64/nsbrowser/plugins\" -fno-rtti > -fno-handle-exceptions -Wconversion -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align > -Woverloaded-virtual -Wsynth -Wno-ctor-dtor-privacy -Wno-non-virtual-dtor > -Wno-long-long -march=nocona -pipe -fPIC -Wno-return-type -w -fshort-wchar > -pthread -pipe -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -ffunction-sections -O2 > -DGENTOO_NSPLUGINS_DIR=\"/usr/lib64/nsplugins\" > -DGENTOO_NSBROWSER_PLUGINS_DIR=\"/usr/lib64/nsbrowser/plugins\" > -DMOZILLA_CLIENT -include ../../../mozilla-config.h > -Wp,-MD,.deps/nsUnknownDecoder.pp nsUnknownDecoder.cpp > nsUnknownDecoder.cpp: In member function 'virtual void > nsBinaryDetector::DetermineContentType(nsIRequest*)': > nsUnknownDecoder.cpp:676: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction > Please submit a full bug report, > with preprocessed source if appropriate. > See <URL:http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions. > :) Bye (In reply to comment #8) > > Yes it is reproducible, i can send at least 6 other logs, I haven't tried more > times because it doesn't make sense. Please send more logs of the same emerge. It's imperative for us to know if it is the same file it fails on. If it isn't, it might indicate other problems on you computer, such as bad ram. > And yes there are other emerges that fail, like openoffice, wxGTK, boinc and > some other that at this time can't remember. mozilla-firefox emerge log
Hi Well there are some logs of the attempts to emerge mozilla-firefox 2.0.0.1. About the RAM option, i can try some test while you check logs. But I will need options or suggestions about what kind of test to run because i have tried three whole sets of memtest from different cd's and disketts, but it always says no errors found. In the same machine, i have Windows 2000 and it works perfectly normal, no errors, no problems and all the available options working. But. as i mentioned before, any suggestion will be tested. :) Bye Created attachment 112970 [details] mozilla-firefox-2.0.0.2 build log file acardh@localhost ~ $ emerge --info Portage 2.1.2.2 (default-linux/x86/no-nptl, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.3.6-r4, 2.6.18-gentoo-r6 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.18-gentoo-r6 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1600+ Gentoo Base System release 1.12.9 Timestamp of tree: Sat, 10 Mar 2007 16:30:01 +0000 dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.31 dev-lang/python: 2.4.3-r4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.17 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.61 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.14 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.17-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/web2c" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages --filter=H_**/files/digest-*" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X alsa apm arts berkdb bitmap-fonts cdr cli cracklib crypt cups dri dvd eds emboss encode foomaticdb fortran gdbm gif gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 iconv imlib ipv6 isdnlog jpeg kde libg++ libwww mad midi mikmod motif mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls ogg opengl oss pam pcre perl png pppd python qt3 qt4 quicktime readline reflection sdl session spell spl ssl tcpd truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts vorbis x86 xml xorg xv zlib" ALSA_CARDS="ali5451 als4000 atiixp atiixp-modem bt87x ca0106 cmipci emu10k1 emu10k1x ens1370 ens1371 es1938 es1968 fm801 hda-intel intel8x0 intel8x0m maestro3 trident usb-audio via82xx via82xx-modem ymfpci" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse evdev" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="apm ark ati chips cirrus cyrix dummy fbdev glint i128 i740 i810 imstt mga neomagic nsc nv rendition s3 s3virge savage siliconmotion sis sisusb tdfx tga trident tseng v4l vesa vga via vmware voodoo" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, MAKEOPTS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY considering you're the only guy with these issues, i'm going to assume it's the same one Antonio: your bug is unrelated to this one *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 168696 *** |
