Description Jan Kundrát (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-27 15:46:03 UTC
As suggested by bug 168267, hardlinks are not good for manpages as ecompressdir breaks them.
Comment 1 Jan Kundrát (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-05 02:44:03 UTC
Dear Kerberos maintainers, this bug has been opened for more than one year. Could you please review it and fix the link generation?
Comment 2 Michael Hammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-05 09:10:45 UTC
We are already working on the heimdal topic. This problem exists but is indeed the smaller one. The actual "stable" heimdal version is hopelessly old and has a few other problems, like API incompatibilities with mit-krb5. As soon as we can push heimdal-1.1 into tree we will also fix the manpage issue. Thx for the reminder.

(AFAIK the core problem is that we actually do not have any main responsible kerberos maintainer)

Thx to mastamind!!!

This issue is fixed in the overlay at git://git.overlays.gentoo.org/proj/kerberos.git in the new heimdal 1.2.x release. I'd like to ask you to use the overlay until heimdal is back in tree in a usable release.
