emerge gnome fails while compiling bind-tools with:
x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -march=athlon64 -pipe -O3  -o dig \
dig.o dighost.o  ../../lib/lwres/liblwres.a ../../lib/dns/libdns.a  -lcrypto  ../../lib/bind9/libbind9.a ../../lib/isc/libisc.a ../../lib/isccfg/libisccfg.a -lnsl 
../../lib/dns/libdns.a(opensslrsa_link.o): In function `opensslrsa_generate':
opensslrsa_link.c:(.text+0x9e5): undefined reference to `RSA_generate_key_ex'

Reassigning. I'm sure the bind guys will want to see your emerge --info output to determine if this is an --as-needed issue (and mark blocking the tracker accordingly or not)

i can't reproduce it neither with 4.1.2 nor with 4.2.0.

is it still actual? any problems with 9.4.1?
