One of the fastest mirrors for me in the United Kingdom is gentoo.blueyonder.co.uk; and the company Blueyonder was recently acquired by Virgin, so mirrors.xml needs updating because the address has changed.

gentoo.blueyonder.co.uk  -->  gentoo.virginmedia.com

They've put a redirect in place, so the former links will still work for users, however I have no clue if that's going to be there forever!
