Update: just compiled ion3-20070203 by hand, and it worked. Does not have xinerama support, so is unusable for me. also downloaded and compiled 20061223, and it ran fine as well. I will continue to investigate if it has anything to do with my -O2 or -march=nocona Update 2: added -march=nocona and -O2 to the by-hand ion3-20061223 compile, and it also ran fine. The segfault must have something to do with the 4 patches added by the ebuild, or be unrelated entirely. amd64: can you reproduce? i'm currently trying to come up with a ion3-20070203 much more closer to what upstream ships, might be worth trying with this, too (up in a few hours, i hope). Is the new 20070318 release any help? (In reply to comment #6) > Is the new 20070318 release any help? > I haven't tried it yet. The latest release requires significant changes to user configs, and I haven't had the time. |
