Description Kai Krakow 2007-02-07 10:56:00 UTC
ProFTP 1.3.1_rc* using the mysql auth module generates wrong SQL code and thus cannot resolve user names, passwords and/or group memberships. I hard masked these versions but now proftp-1.3.0a was removed from the portage tree and portage complains about the ebuild is missing or all versions masked. This makes it impossible for me to rebuild proftp or add/remove useflags. Please fix it by readding the older ebuilds and possibly mask the rc-versions by keyword.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable mysql virtual user authentication in ProFTP
2. Try to login with such a user
Actual Results:
MySQL auth module exits due to mysql error - user cannot login.

Sorry, it's been a time ago I discovered this so I have no error logs. But it's easy to reproduce. Please do not remove stable ebuild versions if you include newer rc-versions.
