this is a legacy driver for RT73/RT2571(W)
(eg. Dlink dwl-g122 Rev.C1)

this driver is based on the orginal one fron Ralink:
http://www.ralink.com.tw/drivers/Linux/

it supports monitor mode and packet injection, tested on x86 and amd64

ebuilds only for drivers from rt2x00.serialmonkey.com project (net-wireless/rt73)?
or from http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html (net-wireless/ralink-rt73) too?
i post ebuild to driver from ralinktech.com - works good on my system

there is an ebuild in sunrise[1] overlay the original driver" from ralink.

Does anyone have an ebuild for any version of the official (non-serialmonkey) rt73 driver that will compile on amd64:

The last 48 hours have been an rt73 nightmare.

I've actually got the rt2x00 driver that is included with 2.6.24 working with wpa_supplicant on WPA now.

As said above, this is WONTFIX, use the in-kernel drivers.

drivers from 2.6.24 don't support ad-hoc mode :(
