I already added the new IP to the access list when I saw your email, but I get this when trying to sync from it, please check and rectify : $ rsync 195.184.8.252::gentoo-portage/ Welcome to rsync2.hu.gentoo.org ( gentoo.treck.hu ) Server Address : 195.184.8.252 Contact Name : treck@treck.hu Hardware : 2 x Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 1024MB RAM Please note: common gentoo-netiquette says you should not sync more than once a day. Users who abuse the rsync.gentoo.org rotation may be added to a temporary ban list. @ERROR: invalid gid nobody rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1383) [receiver=2.6.9] Thanks! But i had the IP address misspelld: 195.184.8.252 is bad IP, and 195.184.8.212 is correct IP. Yes, the problem is fixed. To set the crontab. The rsync server refresh each in 30th minutes. Please update the DNS and the access list to rsync1.us: old ip = 195.184.8.252 new ip = 195.56.193.119 The old IP's rsync service will stay up untill the DNS update is done. Regards Treck |
