steev@sigma ~ % cat /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf send host-name "sigma"; supersede host-name "sigma"; works for me to keep it. This will happen on any dhcp server that sends you a hostname. you should replace sigma in the above to whatever your hostname is. Did that help Adrian?
