I have emerged gplflash, which merged libflash.  Both build OK.  I also removed
netscape flash.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge gplflash
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
merge competed successfully

I too have this exact problem. The only difference is that I never installed any flavor of flash on my system.

I noticed that the file "/opt/netscape/plugins/npflash.so" was not executable while other plugins were so I made it executable. That did not help.

gplflash now uses -r3
