Where did you get the idea it would work? It's not keyworded amd64 at all... Then probably that's a pity (bug). I've tried the 32bit binary on my AMD64 box and it seems to run just fine. (The kernel has been built with 32-bit emulation, since that was required anyway for some packages which I currently don't remember) (In reply to comment #1) It's x86 *only*, period. Thanks, don't reopen this thing. Helmut, allegedly emul-* doesn't have some stuff required for xnview to run. Remove the x86? from SRC_URI and add amd64 to keywords and see for yourself. SRC_URI="http://download.xnview.com/XnView-x86-unknown-linux2.x-static-fc4.tgz" KEYWORDS="amd64 x86" move it to an overlay, digest and emerge. |
