No, they can't. You cannot compile anything against mozilla-firefox-bin.
Well, for example if you emerge vlc with USE="nsplugin" it wants either mozilla-firefox or seamonkey installed. I don't think they (applications that provide nsplugin) anything else then binary version to build (they successfully build if I just set mozilla-firefox as provided package) Not going to happen, period. You can't compile stuff against firefox-bin. |
