Found that: https://bugs.breakmygentoo.org/view.php?id=262 "I know heb had added a gnome2.eclass to fix similar issues with 2.17.x ebuilds. After renaming the b-m-g gnome2.eclass so the Portage version would be used, this gaim build completed with no problems. I would suggest that adding the appropriate lines to the specific ebuilds that have this problem and removing this eclass is a better idea, as fixing an overlay issue with something that breaks Portage packages can't work." So it's actually your eclass retrieved from bmg that caused this problem? No, i have the offical ebuild. If you don't have the gnome2.eclass from bmg linking to that bug was relatively pointless. Sorry for that, I don't have at least an idea of eclasses, so I couldn't form an opinion about the other bug. I just checked with eix --installed-overlay, right now I don't have anything installed from an overlay. Well, I also obiously missed to post the call stack. here it is: !!! ERROR: net-im/gaim-2.0.0_beta5-r3 failed. Call stack: ebuild.sh, line 1618: Called dyn_install ebuild.sh, line 1064: Called qa_call 'src_install' environment, line 4257: Called src_install gaim-2.0.0_beta5-r3.ebuild, line 250: Called gnome2_src_install gnome2.eclass, line 87: Called die Oh, I deleted the overlay bmg and now gaim installes correctly. Obviously portage doesn't deal correctly with my special layman overlay structure, as it uses the ebuild/eclass from bmg, but doesn't indicate that it wants to install something from an overlay (using emerge -av gaim). Sorry for the inconvenience, the bug can be closed. *** Bug 161478 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 163209 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
