The version in portage tree is 1.06 which is rather outdated.The old ebuild work with this one with a few changes. My ebuild for this version is attached.

This bug has been waiting for over a year. Where's the holdup?

Created an ebuild for version 1.17 based on Ali's ebuild.
- updated HOMEPAGE
- replaced the dependancy virtual/tetex with virtual/latex-base
