I am having the same problem whether I use ppc or ~ppc keyword in my ARCH variable. Actually I don't have libXrandr.so.2. I have shown the output of locate command in my previous post which was because of old locate database. I have libXrandr.so.1 and I thought the dependancy of that ebuild should take care of it if it needs to install that library file. I also tried emerging gnome with just ppc keyword as my ARCH but again it failed at the same point. ---------------------------------------------------------------- #emerge info Portage 2.0.46-r12 (default-ppc-1.4, gcc-3.2.2, glibc-2.3.1-r2) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.20-ben4 ppc GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://www.mirror.ac.uk/sites/www.ibiblio.org/gentoo http://csoc iety-ftp.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/gentoo ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo http ://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/ http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo " CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/confi g /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb:/usr/kde/3.1/share/config:/usr/ share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" USE="oss dvd jpeg mitshm gnome-libs gdbm berkdb slang readline tcltk gpm tcpd im lib oggvorbis motif X gtk2 gtk java mozilla ncurses usb zlib ppc gnome qt kde pa m ssl opengl perl arts python xv avi png tiff gif sdl esd nls libwww truetype xm l xml2 directfb -alsa" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mcpu=750 -mpowerpc-gfxopt -mmultiple -mstring" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mcpu=750 -mpowerpc-gfxopt -mmultiple -mstring" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="ppc" MAKEOPTS="-j2" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="ccache" ------------------------------------------------------------------ I am using XFree86-4.2.1-r2 you had that library on your system at some point, and other libraries linked with it ... you need to find out which ones and re-emerge the packages ... gconf 2.2.0 fials here too: -- Installing ./html/home.png -- Installing ./html/left.png -- Installing ./html/right.png -- Installing ./html/up.png -- Installing ./html/index.sgml /bin/install: Aufruf von stat f gconf 2.2.0 fials here too: -- Installing ./html/home.png -- Installing ./html/left.png -- Installing ./html/right.png -- Installing ./html/up.png -- Installing ./html/index.sgml /bin/install: Aufruf von stat für »./html/index.sgml« nicht möglich: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden make[3]: *** [install-data-local] Fehler 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gconf-2.2.0/work/GConf-2.2.0/doc/gconf' make[2]: *** [install-am] Fehler 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gconf-2.2.0/work/GConf-2.2.0/doc/gconf' make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Fehler 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gconf-2.2.0/work/GConf-2.2.0/doc' make: *** [install-recursive] Fehler 1 !!! The problem described in #3 is not related and should not be discussed here, look at bug #17448 . no more traffic, closing reporter reopen if needed |
