when trying to update world esound was blocking so i removed it to see what happens.
after this building kdelib failed on missing /usr/lib/libesd.la.
adding media-sound/esound to kdelibs-3.5.5-r7.ebuild fixed this problem as expected.

If you unmerge something (apparently misunderstanding what's the blocker about), then run revdep-rebuild instead of wondering why stuff breaks.
