There is a patch floating around on the 'net that fixes this. See: http://lists.samba.org/archive/distcc/2004q3/002440.html Well, running out of memory to the extent that OOM is in action is really not a distcc bug. Also, there's no patch at the link you've posted. Sorry, I must have input the wrong URL! The patch is contained within the URL as below: http://www.mail-archive.com/distcc@lists.samba.org/msg02174.html Thanks. That patch is 2.5 years old. This is also an upstream issue and not a Gentoo specific problem. We can't make your volunteer machines get more memory. |
