Reopen if it doesn't work w/ mplayer-1.0_rc1; as for vlc, 0.8.6 compiles just fine. Hi Jakub, thanks for your quick reply. =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc1-r1 compiled smoothly with the new libcaca. But =media-video/vlc-0.8.6-r1 does not work ... there is some problem with the linker. I wonder why =media-libs/libcaca-0.99_beta11 has been marked stable on amd64 while =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc1-r1 is not and the stable version doesn't work with the new libcaca. mplayer stabilization is handled in Bug 157814; vlc-0.8.6 works just fine here. File a new bug w/ some errors included. |
