Hi to all!
I have got a problem with Gnome splash screen in Gnome 2.16.1: it remains on the desktop also after full loading.
To remove it, you need to click on it.
This has been experienced by gnome-light user (as me)

this is a known long standing bug, 2.16 was supposed to be fixed iirc but could you try with gnome-2.18 ? (it's been a while since I last saw this bug myself)
