When trying to emerge gnome epiphany fails to configure and says:

checking whether we can compile and run XPCOM programs... no
configure: error: Cannot compile and run XPCOM programs
See `config.log' for more details.

I have seen other epiphany bugs but nothing that was specific to this problem.

1. emerge epiphany or gnome

configure fails

Expected Results:  
app to compile
