The original bug is 153674, but I can't reopen it.
The last comment says that the issue is fixed, but it is not.

Versions 1.3.5 and 1.3.6 miss the --with-wx*config econf lines present in the 1.3.4 version.
After adding these at least the 1.3.6 version does compile and function properly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge poedit
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
configure fails when looking wx-config, because the symlink points to v2.4 of wxGTK.
The ebuilds tries to use the wxwidget.eclass.
They queries the correct version, but they fail to put that in use.


Expected Results:  
The package should merge nicely.

I wont add a diff, because this is so trivial change.

have you tried syncing?  1.3.5 and 1.3.6 both pass --with-wx-config.

I synced yesterday before merging.
I synced now again, and it is now correct so just close the original one.

It seams I have had syncing problems.
(The curse of the esync, which doesn't show the actual rsync)
