We really don't care about totally outdated glibc snapshot. Upgrade your toolchain. Oh, and emerge -C =sys-devel/libtool-1.4.3-r3 before reporting any libtool-related bugs. I always thought that its the job of the ebuilds author to make sure that the requirements for a sucessful build are met. As you can imagine I knew that it would be a solution to upgrade glibc. So in my opinion the author of the neon ebuild should update it. Otherwise I could start installing everything by hand and forget about portage alltogether. I might come to the conclusion that you are not interested at all in any bug report. But why do I rant about it? You have said it already. "We don't care about..." Can you imagine why I don't upgrade everything now and then, when I don't need to? Because I only apply GLSA's. That's it. Well, then tweak the neon ebuild yourself in overlay; as already said, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1 is not supported. Re-opening at the users request via E-mail upgrade your toolchain As said above. |
