I think this is a relevant snapshoot of /var/log/messages (just before turning off the pc with the power-button)
Try w/ nvidia-drivers-1.0.9742 (or 1.0.9631 if you have a card that's not supported in the latest version). The problem seems to be resolved and related to my Nvidia Go5650 and new kernel/nvidia-drivers After an upgrade to nvidia-drivers-1.0.9631 Xorg didn't start with an error of edge-triggered interrupts. So I had to pass irqpoll to kernel boot parameters and use NVreg_Mobile=3 and NVreg_RMEEdgeIntrCheck=0 as parameters to the nvidia module (anyway not sure if NVreg_Mobile=3 is necessary but irqpoll it is). OK, thanks for reporting back :) |
