I've tweaked the 0.6.1 ebuild to compile against gstreamer 0.6. The attached
patch should be tweaked even more to include pkg-config gst-control-0.6, so you
won't need to att -lgstcontrol-0.6 to LIBS in configure.

Changed the ebuild to use a minimum of gnome2 libraries, but also support
gnome2.2. gstreamer 0.6 is also supported (in fact, I don't think lower
versions work, might need som tuning). Tested on gnome2.0 on PPC and gnome2.2
on X86 (works on both)

i actually want to take a look at this, but the gstreamer-0.6 patch is just a filename. you want to resubmit it?

I lost it, but it's mostly just a rework of the 0.5-patch with some search'n'replace to change 0.5 to 0.6 (really a cruel hack) and changing gstcontrol to gstcontrol-0.6 in the Makefile. I guess you'd be able to reproduce it easily.

i removed monkey-media from the tree a while ago, all too unstable.
