you dont have to use the program evms to use software raid ... as for the 'md' module, it is a real kernel module, it represents 'Raid Support' in 2.4.x kernels ... Agreed w/ spanky, and what partition type is fd? fd: Linux raid auto This has been around long enough. I'm taking this one... It only requires a minor change to the docs (mentioning 'fd' for software RAID partitions). Fixed in CVS. |
