Bug 158574 – nvidia-drivers produces executable stacks on AthlonXP

in essence, nvidia-drivers ebuild will not work on my box. i have been stuck on this for a month, tried all i know how. fixing executable stacks is beyond me.

i'm sure there are others with this problem, too - any help highly appreciated.

Kindly review http://bugs.gentoo.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity; not to mention that I fail to see how you've be "stuck" on this.

UPSTREAM problem, we won't fix it.

fact is, major to me, nvidia accel is crucial for role as video server.
