could you specify which version has this problem ?

Also this trace isn't very useful because it misses a lot of debugging symbols.

Looking at the timeline this is mostly likely version 3.0.

Allan, could you please verify whether this still happens with version 4.0, or even better with version 4.1 from my personal overlay: graaff @ layman

mail-notification-4.1 is now in CVS, so please try test this version to see if the problem persists. If the problem is still there then please reopen the bug.

The crash is not repeatable.  Indeed it hasn't happened for quite a while
(this is still with 3.0, the highest stable version)
