Description Wesley Leggette 2003-02-16 23:08:44 UTC
Whereas the wlan init.d script should be installed in /etc/init.d/ it is
actually installed in /etc/rc.d/init.d/ upon emerging the linux-wlan-ng ebuild.
This one took me a while to figure out ;).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge linux-wlan-ng
2.
3.

When I looked through my mostly empty /etc/rc.d/init.d directory, I also found a
Win4Lin script. I suppose that this also came from the win4lin ebuild, but I
didn't actually bother finding out.

Which version of linux-wlan-ng is the problematic one? 0.1.16_pre6 is the latest stable marked version, and that installs the init script in /etc/init.d as it should on my system. I just retested all the different versions in portage, and they all seem to put the init scrip in the correct spot. You might have used an older ebuild, try syncing and merging again.
