Description Fabio Rossi 2006-12-11 15:55:55 UTC
The gnome-base/control-center-2.16.2 package supports the --disable-hal configure option.

Is it possible to add the hal USE flag for this package?
Comment 1 noddy 2006-12-12 08:24:28 UTC
Yes, _please_. HAL is one of them archetypal optional deps -- it works well on my desktop, but is really out of place on, say, my virtual terminal server.

gnome-applets needs this USE flag too.

This is also essential for gnome-light to currently merge on Gentoo/FreeBSD.

Yessies! Could you do the same for gnome-applets too please? Or you do want another bug for this?

Then we just need #157945 solved and gnome-light on Gentoo/FreeBSD is fine :)

I'd vote for another bug report. It would be easier to track the status.
Comment 7 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-01 16:31:14 UTC
I agree.
