Yes, _please_. HAL is one of them archetypal optional deps -- it works well on my desktop, but is really out of place on, say, my virtual terminal server. gnome-applets needs this USE flag too. This is also essential for gnome-light to currently merge on Gentoo/FreeBSD. Created attachment 108200 [details, diff]
