Kindly set your locales to C when reporting bugs; thanks. What he said... Also, does MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge wml work? (In reply to comment #1) > Kindly set your locales to C when reporting bugs; thanks. > Sorry! I Remerge in English :-) (In reply to comment #2) > What he said... > Also, does MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge wml work? What do you mean by "what he said..." Do you refer to the locale problem? I emerged with MAKEOPTS="-j1" but I get the same error (now in English ;-) ) [...]Making all in doc make[4]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/wml-2.0.9-r1/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend/p2_mp4h/doc' ../src/mp4h -X 0 -I . -D srcdir="." -D format=pod ./mp4h.mp4h \ | sed -e 's/_LT_/</g' -e 's/_GT_/>/g' > mp4h.pod pod2man --section=1 \ --center="HTML Tools" \ --release="HTML Tools" \ mp4h.pod > mp4h.1 cp html html.out cp: cannot stat `html': No such file or directory make[4]: *** [html.out] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/wml-2.0.9-r1/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend/p2_mp4h/doc' make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/wml-2.0.9-r1/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend/p2_mp4h' make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/wml-2.0.9-r1/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend/p2_mp4h' make[1]: *** [all] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/wml-2.0.9-r1/work/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend' make: *** [all] Error 1 !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant. One question: Why does now exist a "resolved needinfo" status for a bug report. Isn't a normal flow to ask for more information to the bug reporter after a bug report? How can we consider this to be "resolved"? Best regards. Created attachment 104509 [details]
wml-2.0.11.ebuild
The attached ebuild installs wml 2.0.11 which fixes this particular build bug.
I did not add this ebuild to the tree because I'm not interesting in maintaining wml, and because the attached ebuild is not multilib-strict safe. The ebuild seems to use all the right steps (include multilib and use get_libdir), but the problem is that the Makefiles contain hardcoded lib references that aren't easily worked around.
Thanks for this. It emerge perfectly! Merry Christmas! (In reply to comment #5) > Thanks for this. It emerge perfectly! Merry Christmas! Err, what emerges perfectly? No-one's committed any changes to the ebuild wrt to this bug. I used (In reply to comment #6) > (In reply to comment #5) > > Thanks for this. It emerge perfectly! Merry Christmas! > > Err, what emerges perfectly? No-one's committed any changes to the ebuild wrt > to this bug. > I used the attacched ebuild furnished by Hans de Graaff, which fit my needs :-) Please, don't resolve bugs that are not fixed in CVS. i confirm bug is still there. is that possibile to commit to portage the latest version? I've put the ebuild into the CVS tree. *** Bug 171270 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
