ppc64 stable After installing gst-plugins-dvdread-0.10.4 and totem-2.16.4, I can not open a DVD movie in it. An error popup appears: -------8<--------- Totem cannot play this type of media (DVD) because you do not have the appropriate plugins to handle it. Please install the necessary plugins and restart Totem to be able to play this media. -------8<--------- Mounting the dvd and playing files in VIDEO_TS dir works OK. Earlier totem says exactly the same, as far I can see. Totem has code that says that DVD playback is not supported, and that makes it not play back when launched with a DVD in this manner. It is unfortunate that it ends up saying a gstreamer problem. However, DVD playback is advertised as not supported indirectly because gstreamer doesn't do DVD navigation, and so on, iirc. /me longs for a decent player, which can do dvd navigation. Anyway, marking stable here. Thanks for explanation, leio. sparc stable though this won't make totem play happily with DVDs on sparc until gst-plugins-mpeg2dec is fixed (which is actually media-libs/libmpeg2's fault). amd64 done ppc stable Incidentally marked stable for HPPA for bug #147751. |
